Baja Wet, with speaker Ernesto Sandoval

This month, Ernesto Sandoval, esteemed biologist and grower from UC Davis’ Section of Plant Science will take us on a tour of the northern Baja peninsula during the summer monsoon season. Ernesto’s presentation, "Baja, the Moist Beautiful Desert," is fresh from the field, as he has just returned only a few weeks ago with an up-to-date look at one of the most beautiful and interesting desert environments in the world. Make this a full complement experience by bringing any Baja plants in your collection for show and tell table. We’re looking forward to hosting Ernesto once again because he never disappoints--—as you shall see!

Featured grower: In addition to providing a fascinating program, the featured grower of the month for October will also be Ernesto Sandoval, who can always be counted upon to provide an array of interesting and rare plants for collectors and gardeners alike. Bring your check book as you won’t be disappointed with the Ernesto’s plants, as well as plants from the club’s collection tended by Marilyn Mangle.

Show and Tell: Baja succulents, Ferocactus, Pachypodium, stapeliads, as well as any plants that look particularly nice right now.
