The next meeting for the San Francisco Succulent & Cactus Society will be taking place on Tuesday, June 15 at 7:00 PM in the San Francisco County Fair Building, located at 9th Avenue and Lincoln in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.
Our June meeting will feature our very own Board of Director and curator of Ruth Bancroft Garden, Brian Kemble. Brian is well respected in the Horticultural field for his vast knowledge on Agaves, Aloes and Bromeliads, to name a few. He has given a number of presentations as well as performed extensive studies on plants in Mexico and South Africa. Brian is also a regular contributor for articles on various plants for our monthly newsletter.
Brian’s presentation will be on Echeverias, both in habitat and cultivation. He will share a good amount of pictures of Echeverias from his last trip to Mexico. In connection with this, our show-and-tell table will feature Echeverias and Echinocereus.
The plants of the month are Echeverias and Echinocereus cacti, and any other plant which is flowering or looking good to share it with the other members. |
