The speaker at our January meeting will be our own Ted Kipping. Ted is an arborist and all-around plant nut. In addition to the Succulent & Cactus Society, he has been very involved for many years with the California Horticultural Society and the San Francisco Botantical Garden. He hosts a monthly potluck & slide show featuring a variety of plant-related topics.
Leave the Dramamine at home and join Ted in exploring the myriad of life forms to be found on the Isles west of Baja. These islands can only be reached by boat and are rarely visited. They are places of austere beauty. Learn where the rare and endemic Dudleya pachyphytum grows on the western cliffs of Cedros Island. See you there!
For our show and tell table, we will feature any cactus or succulent from Baja California. As always, members are encouraged to bring in any plant which is looking especially good, no matter what it is. |
