Madagascar is being heavily developed, which means destruction of habitats at an unprecedented rate. Kelly Griffin has had the good fortune to visit many of them. Come take this journey with him to see these unique locales before they disappear completely.
Kelly will share in detail his experiences of Madagascar flora and fauna. His presentation will focus on some of the plants he loves most: the aloes of Madagascar. Kelly is the Curator at Rancho Soledad Nurseries in Rancho Santa Fe (ranchosoledad. com). He has a penchant for all plants but is probably most known for creating some interesting succulent plant hybrids. When Kelly is not scaling a cliff face for that perfect photo, you can often find his interesting posts on the Xericworld.com web site which he considers “a great plant forum with many great photos and great for information exchange.”
Kelly will be this month’s featured grower.
The plants of the month are plants from Madagascar, Astrophytums, and any other succulent looking good to share with the other members.
