Lemurs, Lizards and Aloes: Madagascar Revisited with Kelly Griffin

Kelly Griffin spent three and one half weeks in the hinterlands of Madagascar seeking out new plants. This is an account of some of what he was able to see and photograph. It has a little about the flora and fauna of Madagascar and everything in between. Kelly is the curator of xeric plants at Rancho Soledad Nurseries (www.ranchosoledad.com) — a Disneyland of exotic plants growing in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Along with business partner Allen Repashy, he runs Xericgrowers (Xericgrowers.com). which specializes in propagation of unique cultivars and select forms of Succulent plants. He recomends visiting the Xericworld forum too (Xericworld.com) …its all about plants!

Kelly is also this month's featured grower. The plants of the month are Astrophytum, Madagascar aloes and anything else that looks good to share with the other members
